When I'm not working, you can find me among the mountains on bikes I've screwed together myself, or contemplating my après-ski options. I have a rule about never turning down a good trail – or a good meal at the end of one. Cooking is my other big hobby, which conveniently offsets all the calories burned elsewhere with butter.

I travel whenever I can. Most recently to Berlin (fantastic city, 10 out of 10, would do it again) with a detour to ski Austria on what can only be described as optimistic snow conditions. Turns out great mid-mountain food and drink goes a long way when the snow isn't cooperating.

Closer to home, I'm chatting with my family with tv, movies, music and books and hanging with Momo, our Bernedoodle, who has decided outdoor adventures aren't really his thing. He's got more important work: protecting us from the very real and persistent threats posed by UPS drivers and the mailman.
